The Miskana quality standard
Last updated 21 October 2026
Every product on Miskana is chosen by our team. This page says what our words mean, so you can trust them.
Handcrafted
Made by hand, or with traditional tools, by the vendor or their small workshop, usually in small batches. No mass-produced pieces resold under a new name. Small differences between pieces are part of their character, not faults.
Authentic
Made where we say it's made, by the people we name, in the way we describe. Every product page shows its vendor, where it comes from, how it's made and its story, and that story is true.
Natural
Food and care products list every ingredient in full. "Natural" means the ingredients come from plants, minerals or animals, and nothing synthetic is added to the scent, colour or preservation.
Organic
We only say "organic" when the vendor shows us proof, such as a certificate, and it's still valid. Without proof, the word isn't used.
Vintage
Vintage and heritage pieces are described honestly, with clear photos of their condition, including any marks of age.
How we check
- We review every vendor before they can sell, and every product, change and price before it goes live.
- Vendors promise that every claim they make is true, and they send proof such as certificates when they make a claim that needs it.
- Our hub checks every item when it arrives, before it's packed.
- If a piece doesn't meet this standard, we hide it, and we may stop working with a vendor who misleads our customers.
